PHYSIOMER Nasal Hygiene – isotonic range
PHYSIOMER nasal hygiene products contain a preservative-free, sterile seawater solution rendered isotonic through a selective separation technique called electrodialysis.
This technique makes it possible to significantly reduce the seawater's sodium chloride content (which may cause prickling or even burning sensations), while preserving the original concentrations of the other minerals and trace elements.
Physiomer contains a complete and all natural combination of more than 80 minerals that work together to soothe nasal irritation and help repair nasal tissues.
PHYSIOMER Isotonic Chemical Composition |
|
| Key Elements (in mg/l) | |
| Sodium (Na+) | 2100-2600 |
| Chlorine (Cl-) | 5400-6300 |
| Potassium (K+) | 44-62 |
| Calcium (Ca++) | 280-390 |
| Magnesium (Mg++) | 1100-1500 |
| Sulfates (SO4--) | 2755 |
| Key Oligoelements (in mg/l) | |
| Zinc (Zn++) | < 1 |
| Selenium (Se++) | < 1 |
| Copper (Cu++) | < 1 |
| Iron (Fe++) | < 1 |
The solution thus obtained has an alkaline pH and is highly tolerable: it does not sting or burn, has no usage restrictions and is suitable even for newborns.
In vitro work conducted in conjunction with two INSERM research teams demonstrated the eutrophic, regenerative and anti-proinflammatory actions of PHYSIOMER compared to a simple saline solution.
The PHYSIOMER solution yields better results in terms of preserving epithelial cell membranes, promoting cellular growth and stimulating the metabolic activities of respiratory epithelial cells than seawater diluted by one-third and a traditional saline solution.
It is thought that these properties are attributable to the presence in high concentration of trace elements, magnesium and sulfates in the PHYSIOMER solution.
